Review and challenges of spatial audio signal processing for binaural audio

Acta Acustica published a review paper on spatial audio for binaural reproduction, which many leading experts in spatial audio including the APL’s Hyunkook Lee co-authored. Hyunkook contributed to the sections discussing the perception and evaluation of binaural audio, and perceptually motivated capture and rendering methods. This paper would be a very useful reference for those who begin a research journey in spatial/binaural audio as well as experienced researchers. Special thanks to the first author Prof Boaz Rafaely for initiating and leading the project to publication.
